North American esports organization TSM has officially disbanded its Counter-Strike 2 team, announcing the decision on their X social media account.

Three players—Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand, William “sirah” Kjærsgaard, and Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss—were moved to the bench. At the same time, the remaining two members, Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså and Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen, have left the team as free agents alongside coach Allan “Rejin” Petersen.

Reflecting on the announcement, former coach Rejin explained, “Our main objective was to create a roster capable of competing at the highest level by 2025. Although we put our best efforts into securing the players we wanted, we ultimately fell short.”

Despite disbanding the current lineup, TSM reassured fans that they are exploring options to assemble a new team for the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 season.

The disbandment follows a series of underwhelming performances, including TSM’s 12th-14th place finish at the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR, where they failed to qualify for the Major. The roster is currently ranked 57th in the standings. This decision came shortly after the organization dissolved its women’s CS2 team.
