André “drop” Abreu has officially joined RED Canids, stepping into the roster to take over the in-game leadership role while replacing Marcelo “nyezin” Ramos. The organization confirmed the signing, aligning with earlier reports from Dust2 Brazil.

Despite being removed from the starting lineup, nyezin will stay with RED Canids as a backup player, continuing his loan arrangement from paiN.

drop gained recognition as a reliable anchor during his tenure with FURIA from 2021 to 2023 before transitioning to MIBR, where he played for nearly two years. Often assigned less favorable roles, his individual statistics reflected this, averaging a 0.99 rating with FURIA and a 1.03 rating during his time with MIBR.

Towards the latter part of his stint with MIBR, he took on the role of in-game leader, helping guide the team to a top-four finish at ESL Pro League Season 20. Under his leadership, MIBR also reached the Elimination Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major, narrowly missing out on a playoff position.

However, MIBR struggled to find consistency at the international level after drop assumed the IGL role, frequently facing early exits from major events. The team’s slow start in 2025, with disappointing performances at BLAST Bounty, IEM Katowice Stage 1, and PGL Cluj-Napoca, prompted drop to request a move to the bench.

With his arrival, RED Canids now have the following lineup:

Brazil Henrique “HEN1” Teles
Brazil Marcelo “coldzera” David
Brazil Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo
Brazil João “felps” Vasconcellos
Brazil André “drop” Abreu

Brazil Pedro “betinho” Umberto (coach)
