Jaxon “Peeping” Cornwell has stepped away from Party Astronauts after a two-month stint with the team. The former Elevate player’s exit coincides with his appearance in the NA Revival Series November, where he has been seen playing for Nouns alongside Nick “nicx” Lee. Both players are reportedly being trialed as potential replacements for Carson “nosraC” O’Reilly and Jeorge “Jeorge” Endicott in the Nouns lineup.
Peeping originally joined Party Astronauts in September alongside Bogdan “ogwizard” Savula, filling the gaps left by Danny “cxzi” Strzelczyk and Adam “WolfY” Andersson. These changes followed the team’s unsuccessful attempt to secure a spot in the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR during the Closed Qualifier. Despite initial struggles with their revamped roster, Party Astronauts gained momentum, culminating in a strong fourth-place finish in ESL Challenger League Season 48, highlighted by a significant playoff victory against Nouns.
Justin “FaNg” Coakley acknowledged that Peeping’s departure is disappointing but noted that it has minimal impact due to Peeping’s brief tenure with the team. FaNg revealed that the organization plans to trial Wesley “viz” Harris during the ongoing NA Revival Series November. If Harris performs at a level that meets Party Astronauts’ expectations, he could rejoin the roster on a permanent basis. Harris is no stranger to the team, having played for Party Astronauts multiple times in the past. His most recent tenure ended in February, following health-related concerns that left him inactive until now.
With Peeping’s departure, the current Party Astronauts lineup comprises Ben “ben1337” Smith, Gage “Infinite” Green, Justin “FaNg” Coakley, and Bogdan “ogwizard” Savula, as the team navigates its next steps.
