paiN Esports have officially revealed the addition of David “dav1deuS” Tapia Maldonado to their roster, confirming a previous report by Dust2.com.br. The Chilean rifler joins the Brazilian organization as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The 24-year-old player comes from RED Canids, where he had been competing since October 2023. During his tenure, he maintained an impressive 1.18 rating and participated in the Copenhagen and Shanghai Major RMRs. Despite his individual performance, RED Canids fell short of qualifying for either Major. Following their elimination at the Shanghai RMR, where the team ended with a 2-3 record, both dav1deuS and his teammate Gabriel “nython” Lino were moved to the bench.
The signing of dav1deuS fills the void left by Lucas “lux” Meneghini, who recently departed paiN to take on the role of in-game leader for Legacy. This roster change signifies paiN’s aim to bolster their firepower and competitiveness in international events. With his consistent performance and experience in high-stakes qualifiers, dav1deuS is expected to add valuable depth to the team.
The updated paiN Esports roster now includes:
- Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt (Brazil)
- Lucas “nqz” Soares (Brazil)
- João “snow” Vinicius (Brazil)
- Kaue “kauez” Kaschuk (Brazil)
- David “dav1deuS” Tapia Maldonado (Chile)
Coaching duties remain in the hands of Henrique “rikz” Waku, who will guide the team through this transitional phase. With the integration of a new player, paiN aims to solidify their position as one of South America’s premier teams and achieve greater success on the global stage.
