Danish esports competitor Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen has officially parted ways with Sashi, stepping into free agency after nearly a year with the organization. The 20-year-old made the announcement through his X social media account, expressing his eagerness to join a new team where he can make an impact and continue progressing in his career.
Thomsen’s tenure with Sashi spanned from April 2024 to January 2025, during which he maintained a 1.07 rating over the past three months across 51 maps. His time with the team came to an end after the organization benched him and brought in Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss from TSM to fill the vacant spot.
Reflecting on his future, MistR stated that he is more motivated than ever to find a new team, emphasizing his desire to contribute effectively and develop further as a player. Despite his individual performance, his time with Sashi was marked by disappointment on the competitive front, as the team failed to qualify for the Shanghai Major after being eliminated in the RMR for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
Currently ranked 42nd on HLTV’s global leaderboard, Sashi will now move forward without MistR, while the Danish rifler explores new opportunities in the Counter-Strike 2 competitive scene. His experience, skillset, and potential could make him an attractive prospect for organizations looking to bolster their rosters in the coming months.
