Swedish esports player Max “maxster” Jansson, at just 20 years old, has officially become a free agent following his departure from NIP. The organization confirmed the news in a statement posted on its X social media account, announcing that both parties had reached an agreement to terminate his contract.

In their farewell message, NIP expressed confidence that this would not be the last time they cross paths with the player in the competitive scene, encouraging him to showcase his full potential moving forward.

maxster had been part of NIP’s main lineup since March 2024, but before that, he spent nearly two years developing his skills in the club’s youth CS2 roster. However, his active participation came to a halt in October due to health concerns, forcing him to sit out key tournaments, including the RMR qualifiers. By December, the organization made the decision to officially bench him, ultimately leading to today’s announcement.

Throughout his time competing for NIP, maxster maintained an average rating of 1.03, demonstrating his consistency despite the setbacks. Now, as a free agent, he is on the lookout for a new opportunity to continue his esports journey.

Meanwhile, NIP has been actively reshaping its lineup. In mid-January, the organization introduced its revamped Counter-Strike 2 roster, led by former Falcons in-game leader Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, signaling a new direction for the team.

With his contract officially terminated, maxster is now set to explore his next step in professional Counter-Strike, and fans will be keeping an eye on where the Swedish player lands next.
