Limitless has officially announced the departure of their CS2 roster, which had been representing the Los Angeles-based organization for the past four months in ESL Challenger League Season 48. The decision follows a challenging period for the team, which narrowly retained its place in the division with a disappointing 7-21 record.
During their time in ECL, the team faced numerous obstacles. They were forced to rely on stand-ins Jerric “wiz” Jiang and Andrew “Tender” Cote to maintain their league spot, all while grappling with roster instability. Dylan “DJF” Ferreira and Kyle “Wolffe” Greenfield both left mid-season, although DJF briefly returned after just a week.
Outside the league, the team’s performance remained inconsistent. Their most notable achievement was a 3rd-4th place finish at Fragicago 2024, but they failed to make a mark in any significant online tournaments or leagues during their tenure.
Limitless co-owner Carl “BigSyn” Mersman revealed to Dust2.us that the split was mutually agreed upon after the players requested increased financial backing for 2025. The organization ultimately decided to part ways with the roster.
The Limitless lineup at the time of the split included:
- United States Sebastian “Seb” Dietrich
- United States McKinley “Cyrix” Hollison
- United States Justin “Sandman” Saulle
- United States Dylan “DJF” Ferreira
- United States Brennan “Aureo” O’Connell (Coach)
It is unclear whether the team plans to stay together for ESL Challenger League Season 49 or pursue opportunities in the Perseverance League. The squad did not provide any comments prior to this announcement’s publication.
