Imperial Esports has officially reinforced its Counter-Strike 2 roster by securing the signing of Richard “chayJESUS” Seidy from Fluxo. The Brazilian organization made the announcement following the departure of João “felps” Vasconcellos, who was transferred to RED Canids earlier this month.
This move comes after chayJESUS spent five months on Fluxo’s bench. The 23-year-old initially joined Fluxo from Sharks in October 2023, playing a key role in the starting lineup for nearly a year before being replaced by Kayke “kye” Bertolucci. Following his removal from the active roster, he competed in online tournaments with Tropa do Taco, a roster that featured prominent names like Epitacio “TACO” de Melo and Vinicius “vsm” Moreira.
Imperial’s management is hoping that this roster adjustment will revitalize the team after an underwhelming conclusion to the 2024 season. The squad suffered a disastrous 0-3 elimination in the Opening Stage of the Shanghai Major, falling to paiN, FURIA, and Complexity. The poor showing led to frustration within the lineup, with AWPer Santino “try” Rigal calling the performance “unacceptable.”
The newly revamped Imperial roster will take to the server on Thursday, as chayJESUS makes his official debut against Bad News Chickens in the Round of 16 at CCT Season 2 South America Series 6.
With this latest signing, Imperial’s current five-man lineup is as follows:
Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo (Brazil)
Lucas “decenty” Bacelar (Brazil)
Kaiky “noway” Santos (Brazil)
Santino “try” Rigal (Argentina)
Richard “chayJESUS” Seidy (Brazil)
Coach: Rafael “zakk” Fernandes (Brazil)
