The Swedish former player has taken over at SAW and will serve as head coach until the end of the season.
Golden recently announced his retirement from professional play and was swiftly appointed as SAW’s new head coach, succeeding Danny “BERRY” Krüger, who left the team in early October. This appointment follows Golden’s exit from EYEBALLERS the same month, marking his shift from player to coach. Despite his recent transition, Golden is no stranger to coaching, having previously held a similar role for GODSENT for eight months in 2023.
Golden now joins SAW, a team that has been navigating significant change. Earlier this month, the team made a surprising decision to part ways with BERRY and Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing. In response, SAW brought in André “Ag1l” Gil as part of the reshuffled roster, with Golden completing the lineup shortly after.
The team’s restructuring has already begun to show promise, as SAW secured their first international LAN victory at ESL Challenger Katowice during their offline debut with the new roster. They now focus on the upcoming Shanghai Major RMR, which starts on November 17. SAW has been placed in Group A, with their first match set against SINNERS in the opening round.
