Romanian rifler Sebastian “volt” Maloș has been benched by GamerLegion, marking another off-season change for the team. This follows the signing of Oldřich “PR” Nový from MOUZ NXT, who replaced Timur “FL4MUS” Marev in the lineup.

According to sources, GamerLegion is in the final stages of negotiating with Ninjas in Pyjamas to acquire Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, as initially reported by Sheep Esports. REZ is on NIP’s transfer list, with the Swedish organization expected to rebuild its roster with four new additions during this off-season.

volt joined GamerLegion in July 2023 from Into the Breach following both teams’ historic playoff runs at the BLAST.tv Paris Major. During his tenure, he maintained a 1.00 rating, with his last appearance for the team at the Shanghai Major, where GamerLegion placed 12th-14th.

Head coach Ashley “ash” Battye explained that the decision to bench volt stemmed from role imbalances in the lineup, which led to a reliance on certain players. The British coach stated that while FL4MUS often shouldered excessive playmaking duties, the team lacked aggressive instincts across the board.

GamerLegion is expected to finalize its lineup shortly, with the team set to debut in BLAST Bounty Season 1 next week.

The current GamerLegion roster includes:

  • Sweden Erik “ztr” Gustafsson
  • Denmark Sebastian “Tauson” Tauson Lindelof
  • Hungary Henrich “sl3nd” Hevesi
  • Czech Republic Oldřich “PR” Nový
