Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto has officially left SAW, marking the end of a collaboration that began in July 2022.
The 24-year-old rifler was moved to the bench in early December, with SAW stating that his decision stemmed from a desire “to explore new opportunities on the international stage.” José “Shr” Gil has since stepped into ewjerkz’s spot in the active lineup.
Reports indicate that ewjerkz is poised to join Ninjas in Pyjamas, as the Swedish organization undertakes a major roster overhaul with the addition of four new players, according to HLTV.
The anticipated transfer will reunite ewjerkz with his former SAW teammate Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing, as both players prepare to embark on their first international challenge.
Throughout 2024, ewjerkz maintained an impressive 1.13 rating, contributing significantly to SAW’s qualification for their first Major, the PGL Major Copenhagen, and their unexpected journey to the semi-finals of IEM Cologne.
