Paweł “dycha” Dycha has made the decision to step down from Monte’s active roster, taking a brief break from competitive play. This marks the end of the Polish rifler’s seven-month period with the Ukrainian organization.
Dycha joined Monte in July 2024, alongside his ENCE teammate Olek “hades” Miskiewicz. During his time with the team, the Polish-speaking roster achieved only modest success. They narrowly missed qualifying for the Perfect World Shanghai Major EU RMRs and had just one LAN appearance, where they reached the semi-finals at ESL Challenger Katowice in October 2024.
After the team promoted Monte Gen prospects Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen and Gytis “ryu” Glušauskas earlier this year, the international squad’s results have been mixed. They secured second place in CCT Season 2 Europe Series 16, but faltered in Series 17, finishing in 20th-22nd place.
“I requested to be removed from the active roster earlier this month,” dycha explained about the decision. “The organization and I agreed to finish out the remaining matches to avoid significant disruptions to our VRS ranking.”
He added, “After those matches, I’ve chosen to take a short break from competition.”
Despite this, dycha reaffirmed his desire to continue competing at the highest level, expressing strong motivation to return to top-tier CS play.
