Timothy “autimatic” Ta, the 28-year-old American esports professional, has officially parted ways with NRG and is now a free agent. He shared the news through his X social media account.

At this point, autimatic does not plan on returning to the Counter-Strike 2 professional scene and has decided to take some time off from competitive gaming.

“I’ve decided to step away from competition for a bit,” he explained. “I feel like the grind and the constant challenges over the last three years have caused me to lose touch with myself. I need a reset before I can be the kind of player who can contribute to a winning team. Part of that reset includes creating content and maybe playing some golf. I hope you all continue supporting me during this time.”

Autimatic was part of NRG from March to November 2024 before the organization decided to bench him. Prior to that, he played for prominent teams such as Evil Geniuses, Gen.G, and Cloud9. Since starting his professional Counter-Strike career in 2012, he has earned $466,000 in prize money.
