Aurora has officially promoted Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin from their academy team, Aurora Young Blud, to take on AWPing responsibilities for the main lineup. This move follows the recent departure of Denis “deko” Zhukov, who stepped back from competitive play last month, leaving a crucial gap in the team’s roster.

At just 19 years old, gr1ks has proven himself to be a rising star in the Eastern European Counter-Strike scene. During his seven months with Aurora’s academy squad, he posted an impressive 1.17 rating, showcasing his sharp skills and consistent performances. Under his watch, Aurora Young Blud claimed victory in ESEA Main Season 51 and secured a third-place finish in the European Pro League Season 21.

Aurora’s head coach, Andrey “Xoma” Mironenko, expressed excitement over the promotion, praising the young player for his exceptional talent and dedication. “Gleb has demonstrated extraordinary abilities and a deep passion for the game during his time with the academy,” Xoma noted. “He’s more than ready for this next challenge, and I’m thrilled to work with someone so devoted to his craft.”

The inclusion of gr1ks brings Aurora closer to completing their starting lineup, with just one vacancy remaining. The team is still searching for a replacement for Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev, who was recently benched following a disappointing performance at the Europe RMR.

The current roster for Aurora features:

  • Timur “clax” Sabirov
  • Aleksandr “KENSI” Gurkin
  • Evgeny “Norwi” Ermolin
  • Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin

The roster is under the guidance of head coach Andrey “Xoma” Mironenko, while both Denis “deko” Zhukov and Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev remain on the bench. Aurora’s latest roster adjustments signal their ambition to refine their team and compete at the highest level in the upcoming season.
