The roster of 24 teams set to compete in the Perfect World Shanghai Major has now been confirmed following two weeks of intense RMR competitions. The qualifiers determined the strongest representatives from Asia, the Americas, and Europe, with three, seven, and fourteen teams advancing from each region.
While some notable teams failed to secure a spot, such as Astralis, which missed their fourth consecutive Major, Eternal Fire, Falcons, and 9z, others delivered remarkable performances. Wildcard and Passion UA stood out by exceeding expectations and earning their place in Shanghai, while BIG and 3DMAX impressed with flawless 3-0 runs in Europe’s B group.
Valve’s forthcoming update to the rankings will finalize the Major’s seeding before the tournament kicks off on November 30. This update will determine which eight European RMR teams advance directly to the Elimination stage, while the remaining six will join qualifiers from the Americas and Asia in the Opening stage.
