BLAST has officially announced that the second installment of its Counter-Strike 2 Rivals series will take place in East Asia later this year. Scheduled to run from November 10 to 16, the tournament marks a significant expansion of BLAST’s competitive reach into the Asian region.
The news was shared on BLAST’s official X social media account, though specific details—including the exact host city and venue—have yet to be revealed. The tournament operator has promised to disclose further information in the coming months, heightening anticipation around what could be one of the biggest esports events in the region this year.
This announcement follows BLAST’s recent confirmation that the first Rivals event of 2025 will take place in Monterrey, Mexico, from April 30 to May 4. The Monterrey tournament will feature eight elite teams competing in a high-stakes battle for a $350,000 prize pool.
Both BLAST Rivals Season 1 & Season 2 will adhere to a structured format, beginning with a GSL-style group stage. The top squads will then advance to a single-elimination playoff, where only six teams will make it through to fight for the championship title.
By bringing the fall edition of BLAST Rivals to Asia, the event signals a growing commitment to expanding Counter-Strike 2’s global competitive scene. East Asia has long been a region with a strong gaming culture, and this tournament provides an opportunity for local fans to experience top-tier CS2 action live. With a substantial prize pool at stake and the promise of high-level competition, BLAST Rivals is shaping up to be one of the standout events in the 2025 CS2 calendar.
