Bad News Eagles have officially re-entered the Counter-Strike 2 competitive scene, bringing back the same core lineup that previously represented the organization. The announcement was shared through the team’s X social media account, marking the squad’s return to competition after a brief hiatus.
The roster remains intact, with Rigon “rigoN” Gashi, Sener “SENER1” Mahmuti, Flatron “juanflatroo” Halimi, Dionis “sinnopsyy” Budeci, and Genc “gxx-” Kolgeci all set to continue competing under the Bad News Eagles banner. This lineup originally played together under the BNE name from February 2022 to November 2023, before the entire squad was signed by Guild Esports and rebranded as Guild Eagles. Their time with Guild, however, was short-lived, as the organization disbanded the team in May 2024, leaving the players without a home.
Now, with their identity fully restored, Bad News Eagles are gearing up for their first official match since reforming, as they prepare to compete in the qualifiers for BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1. Their return will take place on February 4, where they aim to make an impact in the CS2 scene once again.
This comeback signifies a new chapter for the Kosovar squad, who have long been known for their aggressive playstyle, resilience, and ability to challenge top-tier teams despite operating without an organization for extended periods. With their return, fans can expect them to bring the same energy and determination that previously made them a standout roster in international competitions.
As they step back into action, Bad News Eagles will look to reestablish themselves among the strongest teams in the scene while proving that their core remains as formidable as ever. The team’s supporters will be eager to see whether they can recreate past successes and once again compete at the highest level.
