Wildcard has secured their place at the Perfect World Shanghai Major through the Americas RMR. They completed their campaign with a clean 3-0 run by defeating 9z in a two-map series during the 2-0 bracket.

The journey was impressive for the squad led by Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz. Before their series against 9z, who were ranked No. 25, they had already taken notable wins against the No.13-ranked Liquid and No.16-ranked paiN in best-of-one matches. The match against 9z proved challenging on Nuke, their opponent’s map pick, but Wildcard found their rhythm and dominated Inferno from the beginning.

Stanislaw spoke to James “BanKs” Banks after the game, highlighting the team’s strong cohesion and preparation. He noted that the team dynamic was excellent, with every role fitting seamlessly, dedication evident in each member’s effort, and a coach who thoroughly prepared them. According to him, their lineup had no significant flaws at that moment.

Wildcard faced adversity on Nuke, finishing the first half with a 5-7 deficit on the CT side and struggling further at the start of their T side. Despite trailing 5-11, they made a remarkable comeback to push the game into overtime and secure victory.

Inferno presented a different story, where Wildcard took control early with a 6-1 lead on the CT side. Although 9z managed to keep the game close before the half, Wildcard’s offensive side was relentless, breaking down their opponents’ defense and sealing the match to confirm their place in the Major.
