Vitality have powered through to the semi-finals of the World Final by taking down MOUZ in the tournament’s first arena game. This win serves as a measure of payback for Vitality after MOUZ knocked them out on stage in Rio, where Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek’s squad was expected to make a breakthrough in stadium matches. Yet, in Singapore, MOUZ found themselves facing their earlier season difficulties as they struggled to perform under playoff pressure.
Audric “JACKZ” Jug had an impressive showing on Dust2, ending with a strong 1.39 rating, while Shahar “flameZ” Shushan dominated on Mirage. Lotan “Spinx” Giladi rounded off the series with a commanding 1.61 rating.
While flameZ thrived on stage, MOUZ struggled, with four of their main players ending the first map with ratings below 0.78. Dorian “xertioN” Berman was the only one with a positive score on Mirage, and Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás along with Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo delivered disappointing performances with just 12 kills each across two maps. For torzsi, this event rating of 0.75 marks his lowest performance in a MOUZ jersey.
Captain siuhy expressed his disappointment, mentioning minor mistakes and both in-game and off-server issues that need to be addressed.
MOUZ had initially started strong with siuhy securing five kills in the opening round of Dust2, but the team struggled as JACKZ outperformed expectations and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut dominated the map, making crucial plays wherever he went. ZywOo continued to excel after the halves switched, securing an opener in Lower before repositioning to Short for additional impact.
Mirage began with xertioN’s four kills in the opening pistol round, but Vitality quickly countered as Spinx landed a grenade that turned the round in their favor. flameZ shone during the rifle rounds, racking up 16 kills in the half and repeatedly shutting down MOUZ’s attempts to take A. Vitality’s coordination was on full display as apEX set up flameZ for a triple kill with well-timed utility. Any last hope for MOUZ faded as they won the pistol round on Mirage but lost the momentum to apEX’s aggressive Tec-9 push up B Short.
