The full list of teams set to compete in the MESA Asian Masters 2025 has been confirmed, with eight squads from across the Asia-Pacific region preparing to battle for a coveted spot at PGL Bucharest. Among the qualified teams are Rare Atom, ATOX, and TALON, each looking to secure their place in one of the most significant tournaments of the year.
Taking place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from March 6 to 9, the event will be structured as a double-elimination bracket, culminating in a best-of-five grand final. This tournament will serve as the official Asian qualifier for PGL Bucharest, where teams will compete for a share of the $1.25 million prize pool awaiting them at the main event.
As one of the highest-ranked teams in Valve’s Asian Regional Standings, currently sitting at third place, ATOX enters the competition as a strong contender. Their journey to this tournament wasn’t without obstacles, as they had to fight their way through the Asian closed qualifier, overcoming an early loss to HOTU in the opening round. Beyond this event, ATOX will also use the MESA Asian Masters as a key part of their preparations for the BLAST Open Lisbon, scheduled for later in March.
This tournament will also mark TALON’s first LAN appearance since their run in the Asian RMR for the Shanghai Major. The Australian squad has been participating in domestic competitions with Euan “sterling” Moore and Liam “malta” Schembri stepping in as stand-ins for Miłosz “mhL” Knasiak and Aaron “AZR” Ward, though the team has not provided an official statement regarding the roster changes.
Beyond the well-established names, the MESA Asian Masters 2025 will also feature JiJieHao, a squad that recently strengthened its roster with the addition of Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas, formerly of Monte and Falcons, adding firepower to their lineup. Another notable participant is Only One Word, whose roster includes WingHei “Freeman” Cheung, a former TYLOO player, bringing valuable experience to the team.
The finalized lineup for the MESA Asian Masters 2025 includes:
- ATOX (Mongolia)
- SemperFi (Australia)
- JiJieHao (Asia)
- DogEvil (China)
- Rare Atom (China)
- Chinggis Warriors (Mongolia)
- TALON (Oceania)
- Only One Word (Hong Kong)
