Argentinian esports organization KRÜ has made an adjustment to its Counter-Strike 2 lineup, officially moving Marcos “deco” Amato to the bench. The team shared the decision through an announcement on its X social media account, marking another shift in its competitive roster.

Amato, a 27-year-old player from Argentina, had been part of KRÜ’s lineup since July of last year. Over the past three months, his average rating across 27 maps stood at 0.94, reflecting the team’s recent struggles. At this moment, the organization has not revealed who will take his spot in the starting lineup or whether a new signing is on the horizon.

The roster change follows KRÜ’s disappointing performance in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Americas RMR, where they failed to secure a spot at the Shanghai Major. Shortly after this setback, the organization also parted ways with its head coach, Gustavo “yel” Knittel, signaling an ongoing effort to restructure the team.

Currently, KRÜ sits at 192nd place in Valve’s global ranking, a position that suggests the team needs serious improvements to become more competitive on the international stage. The remaining roster, following deco’s benching, consists of Roberto “reversive” Themtham, Eduardo “laser” Chshekin, Joaquin “atarax1a” Biglieri, and Sebastian “righi” Righi. The organization is expected to make further announcements regarding its future plans in the coming weeks.
