FaZe overturned a tough start to sweep Vitality and advance to the Perfect World Shanghai Major semi-finals, where they will now face G2.
Vitality entered the quarter-finals as the favorites and began the series with a commanding performance on Nuke, FaZe’s map pick. Dominating the CT side, Vitality raced to an 8-0 lead.

Even during the lopsided half, Robin “ropz” Kool stood out, delivering exceptional individual play that helped FaZe salvage the final four rounds before the break. Vitality maintained their momentum on the T side, closing out Nuke with a 13-6 victory. Despite the team’s struggles, ropz was the standout performer, finishing with a 1.66 rating, far ahead of his teammates.

The series moved to Mirage, Vitality’s pick, where they had recently dismantled FaZe 13-5 during the RMR. After opening with a 4-1 lead, Vitality faltered as FaZe mounted a stellar defensive effort. Key contributions from Helvijs “broky” Saukants and Håvard “rain” Nygaard propelled FaZe to take control of the map. They dominated the second half, securing a 13-8 win to level the series.

The decider on Anubis saw FaZe take charge from the outset. Knowing Vitality’s struggling es on it, allowing the map proved to be a calculated move. Starting on the CT side, FaZe built a four-round lead at halftime, with ropz once again leading the charge. Vitality attempted a late three-round resurgence, but FaZe’s dominance was undeniable. They closed the series with a 13-7 victory, securing their place in the semi-finals.
