BLAST has introduced changes to the groups and matchups for BLAST Open Lisbon, set to take place from March 19-30. The modifications primarily impact Group B and stem from ATOX’s disqualification due to a provisional suspension issued by ESIC. As a result, The Huns have been selected as their replacement, leading to shifts in the tournament’s structure.

ATOX was initially ranked 14th in seeding, but The Huns enter as the lowest-seeded team, causing Imperial and M80 to move up one position in the rankings. This adjustment has resulted in several revised matchups in Group B, while in Group A, The Huns will directly take over ATOX’s original spot and face Spirit in their opening match.

The tournament, which kicks off at the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, will begin with an intense double-elimination group stage, featuring 16 teams battling for a spot in the playoffs. The top six teams will then advance to the MEO Arena in Lisbon, where they will compete in front of a live audience for a share of the $250,000 prize pool and crucial points in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).

With these modifications, the updated groups now look as follows:

Group A

  • Spirit (Russia)
  • FaZe (Europe)
  • Falcons (Europe)
  • Astralis (Denmark)
  • Vitality (Europe)
  • MOUZ (Europe)
  • Virtus.pro (Russia)
  • The Huns (Mongolia)

Group B

  • Natus Vincere (Europe)
  • G2 (Europe)
  • Liquid (Other)
  • M80 (United States)
  • Eternal Fire (Turkey)
  • The MongolZ (Mongolia)
  • FURIA (Brazil)
  • Imperial (Brazil)

These last-minute adjustments add an extra layer of intrigue to the competition, as teams must now adapt their strategies based on new opponents in their opening matches. The impact will be especially significant in Group B, where Imperial’s move could shake up the initial round of play.

With BLAST Open Lisbon serving as a key tournament on the 2025 Counter-Strike 2 circuit, every team will be looking to prove their strength, secure crucial ranking points, and build momentum heading into the next stage of the competitive season.
