The DRILLAS team, known for competing in the Asian RMR, is on the verge of breaking up, a development that was anticipated. Following a narrow 1-2 loss to FlyQuest, two pivotal players, Woro2k and Meztal, have announced their intentions to seek new opportunities to advance their careers.

Ukrainian AWPer Woro2k expressed his sentiments on social media, stating that he remains driven and motivated to achieve his goals and will seek a new team that aligns with his ambitions. He extended his gratitude to those who have supported the team.

Meztal, another significant member of DRILLAS, also voiced his appreciation for the support they received, noting that the defeat was difficult to accept. He highlighted the journey as meaningful and expressed thanks to everyone involved with DRILLAS.

Regarding the future of DRILLAS’ players, Meztal shared that he hopes both Woro2k and Kvem will find fitting teams. He described Kvem as a remarkable young talent who deserves an opportunity in a Tier-1 team to fully showcase his potential.

The DRILLAS project was formed specifically for participation in the Major, and although they did not advance further, their performance left a favorable impression on the community. Meztal pointed out that the players took on new responsibilities and adapted to different roles, making the experience valuable.

The team’s involvement in the Asian RMR sparked significant attention in the Counter-Strike scene, primarily because most of the roster was European. This situation led to a mix of opinions and discussions, with critics like Richard Lewis and innersh1ne raising concerns. On the other hand, James Banks and Mauisnake offered their support, highlighting flaws in the rules that allowed such circumstances. Banks even conveyed appreciation to those who stood by DRILLAS.

Woro2k and Meztal have been part of DRILLAS for three months, playing 55 official matches. Woro2k maintained an average rating of 6.5, while Meztal posted a 5.7 rating. Both contributed significantly and showed consistency while adapting to the team’s environment.

Both players have made it clear they are prepared for new opportunities. Their time with DRILLAS demonstrated their high skill levels, and they will likely be considered for top-tier teams soon.
