Complexity have officially booked their ticket to PGL Bucharest after an impressive performance in the North American closed qualifier. Over the past week, Johnny “JT” Theodosiou and his squad proved themselves as the dominant force, solidifying their place among the best teams set to compete in the Romanian capital.
Heading into the qualifier, Complexity were considered one of the strongest contenders for the lone available slot, with Wildcard being their biggest rival. Their journey through the 32-team bracket was nothing short of dominant, dropping only a single map throughout six series. Their crowning achievement came in the grand final, where they shut out Wildcard in a convincing 3-0 sweep, putting an exclamation mark on their campaign.
With their qualification confirmed, Complexity now prepare to go up against top-tier opposition, joining powerhouses such as G2, FaZe, and Eternal Fire at the prestigious event. PGL Bucharest, set to take place from April 5-13 at the organizer’s studio in Romania, will feature a fierce battle for a share of the $1.25 million prize pool.
As Complexity celebrate their qualification, the final two spots for the event are still up for grabs in the European and South American qualifiers. While 12 teams have already secured direct invitations through the global ranking, and Rare Atom earned their place via the Asian LAN qualifier, the remaining hopefuls are now entering the decisive playoff stages.
In Europe, HEROIC, BetBoom, OG, and Apogee remain in contention for a coveted spot, while in South America, 9z, Legacy, Solid, and Flamengo continue their fight for a ticket to Bucharest. With the competition heating up, all eyes are on the final qualifiers as the complete lineup for PGL Bucharest nears its finalization.
