HSG fe has bid farewell to two of its core players, Olga “Olga” Rodrigues and Ramona “gfi” Azween Binti Zaharuddin, leaving the roster with just three remaining members. Their exits come nearly five months after the team last competed in an official match, marking a significant shift for the international squad.
The organization has been a consistent presence in the ESL Impact circuit, making its first appearance in Season 2 and securing spots in the next three editions through the Asia-Pacific regional qualifiers. However, ESL’s decision to eliminate the APAC qualifier ahead of Season 6 forced HSG fe to compete in the European qualifier instead. Despite successfully making the cut for that season, the team opted not to participate in the European qualifier for Season 7, ending their five-season streak in the competition.
gfi, one of HSG fe’s longest-serving players, departs after four years with the team, leaving SinMan “Hazel” Fong as the only remaining player from the original lineup. Her departure marks the end of an era for the squad, as she had been a staple of their strategy and leadership over the years. Olga, on the other hand, leaves after two years with the team, having joined in March 2023 in a surprise move from FURIA fe.
With their departure, HSG fe now finds itself in a rebuilding phase, with only three players left on the roster. The future of the squad remains uncertain, especially given their absence from ESL Impact Season 7. Whether they plan to recruit replacements and re-enter competitive play or take a step back from the circuit is yet to be determined.
Current HSG fe Roster:
- Hong Kong | SinMan “Hazel” Fong
- China | Xinni “XiaoWu” Wu
- Latvia | Anna “Ann4” Laurinoviča
The coming months will be crucial for HSG fe as they decide their next steps, particularly as the ESL Impact scene continues to evolve.
