The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has imposed a three-year suspension on former Sangal and TNL player Ilya “Ganginho” Chernychenko following an in-depth investigation into betting violations and corruption.

According to ESIC, the probe was initiated after a reliable tip-off from its affiliate network. The inquiry uncovered evidence linking Ganginho to 390 Counter-Strike bets placed through accounts directly associated with him, identified via shared IP addresses, device markers, and other digital traces. Among these wagers were significant bets placed on matches involving TNL, the team he played for between May and October 2024.

ESIC reported that his betting activity led to winnings amounting to approximately $20,000.

In October, Ganginho publicly announced his retirement from professional gaming, stating that his time in esports had introduced him to great people but that life required moving forward rather than staying in one place.

After being found guilty of multiple violations, including misuse of confidential information and match-fixing, ESIC ruled that his suspension would be backdated to December 6, 2024. During the ban, he is prohibited from any involvement in ESIC-partnered events, whether as a player, coach, manager, or commentator.
