Fluxo has made another roster adjustment, bringing in 19-year-old Matheus “mlhzin” Marçola to replace Nicollas “nicks” Polonio on the active lineup. This marks the organization’s second roster change in 2025, as they continue their push for stronger results in regional competition.
mlhzin joins Fluxo after spending 14 months with MIBR Academy, where he maintained a 1.08 rating across 76 maps and consistently secured runner-up finishes in multiple Liga Gamers Club Serie A events.
This latest change follows Fluxo’s January decision to bring back Allan “history” Lawrenz, who replaced Romeu “zevy” Rocco. Now, with another shift, the team is looking to overcome setbacks and compete more effectively against their South American rivals.
Recently, Fluxo came close to securing a spot at IEM Dallas through the South America closed qualifier. They defeated Imperial in the opener and took down Sharks in the consolidation final, but suffered two consecutive 0-2 losses to Legacy, ultimately falling short of qualification.
Their struggles have continued across multiple events. Just days before the IEM Dallas qualifier, Fluxo was eliminated from the BLAST Open Lisbon qualifier by Imperial, followed by another defeat at the hands of the same team in the CCT Season 2 South America Series 7 semi-finals on February 22. That match was nicks’ last appearance on the active roster, concluding his 10-month tenure with the team that began in May 2024, alongside Andrei “arT” Piovezan.
Head coach Marcos “tacitus” Castilho explained the reasoning behind the roster change, stating that the team needed another aggressive player to achieve its full potential.
“Internally, we recognized the necessity of adding a more aggressive playstyle to elevate our performance,” tacitus shared in a post on X.
He also had high praise for nicks, acknowledging his dedication and work ethic despite the decision to bench him.
With mlhzin now joining the team, Fluxo’s updated lineup stands as follows:
Brazil – Andrei “arT” Piovezan
Brazil – Kayke “kye” Bertolucci
Brazil – Allan “history” Lawrenz
Brazil – Guilherme “piriajr” Barbosa
Brazil – Matheus “mlhzin” Marçola
