Breno “brnz4n” Poletto, aged 21, has been reinstated to MIBR’s starting lineup after a period spent on the bench, the Brazilian organization confirmed on Wednesday. He will take the place left vacant by André “drop” Abreu, who was benched following a series of disappointing results.
Raphael “exit” Lacerda announced via X that he would resume his role as captain, a position he held from January 2023 to August 2024.
A product of MIBR Academy, brnz4n moved up to the main team in May 2022 after Adriano “WOOD7” Cerato was benched. He remained a key part of the starting lineup for over two years before being replaced by Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves in September 2024.
“I’m thrilled to be back with this team, especially with players I have always had a deep connection with,” brnz4n shared on X. “I appreciate MIBR for giving me another chance. The time off has given me a chance to mentally reset, and now I’m ready to return stronger and more determined than ever.”
MIBR hopes that the roster change will reinvigorate the team, which has struggled in 2025 with only two wins out of seven LAN matches. The Brazilian squad was recently eliminated from PGL Cluj-Napoca, finishing in 12th-14th place after victories over Imperial Valkyries but losses to Wildcard, 3DMAX, and Astralis.
MIBR’s new lineup will debut in the Play-In stage of ESL Pro League 21, starting on March 1 in Stockholm. The team is also expected to be led by Jhonatan “jnt” Silva, who is rumored to replace Bruno “BIT” Fukuda Lima as coach.
