The Counter-Strike 2 developers have introduced changes to the user agreement for content creators within the Steam Workshop. These updates primarily focus on altering the compensation process for selling skins. This information was shared by data miner Maxim “Gabe Follower” Poletaev through his Telegram channel.

The updated agreement for CS2 brings a new compensation model for items that are included in the Armory. By agreeing to the new terms, creators give Valve permission to feature their items in the Armory. In exchange, creators will receive a daily payment for each day their item is available in the Armory. This daily payment now replaces the previous revenue-sharing model or other forms of compensation outlined in the Workshop Supplemental Terms. Previously, creators earned a percentage of sales, akin to how community maps were compensated.

In addition to these changes, Valve recently made several adjustments to the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) system, which impacts invitation criteria, Wildcard teams, and regional subdivisions. Further details on these changes can be found in our article.
