Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea’s time with OG has come to an end after a ten-month period, with the organization announcing his benching. OG has confirmed that MoDo now has the opportunity to seek new opportunities.
“We are grateful for the dedication and effort MoDo put into his time with us,” OG shared. “In the coming weeks, we will focus on bringing in the right player to strengthen our active roster.”
Following the announcement, MoDo expressed his gratitude towards OG on X, saying, “Thank you to everyone at OG. It was a pleasure to work together. I’ll now take some time to focus on myself and return stronger both in-game and mentally!”
MoDo joined OG in April of the previous year, transitioning from TSM after making a name for himself with Nexus throughout 2023. The 21-year-old had big shoes to fill, stepping into the role previously held by Iulian “regali” Harjău. Unfortunately, he struggled to meet the expectations, finishing his stint with a 1.02 rating.
While MoDo faced personal challenges, OG as a team also struggled to deliver consistent results. Their best performance came shortly after his arrival, securing second place in the Skyesports Masters, and they later earned a top-four finish at the Thunderpick World Championship 2024. However, aside from qualifying for BLAST Fall Groups 2024, the team did not secure any major victories or qualify for any tier-one LAN events during his time.
