ATOX has successfully earned a place at BLAST Open Lisbon, a prestigious tournament featuring the top teams from around the globe. This marks their second major event appearance after securing a spot in ESL Pro League Season 20 in 2024.
The BLAST Open Lisbon will run from March 19-30, with the group stage taking place at the BLAST Studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, followed by the playoffs at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
ATOX triumphed in the qualifier’s grand final, defeating their fellow Mongolian team, The Huns, with a 2-0 victory. This win came just two days after they had also bested The Huns in the IEM Dallas qualifier. Prior to their grand final clash, ATOX had already overcome Rare Atom and Rooster in earlier matches.
The Mongolian squad had been in strong form, boasting a 7-0 record until their defeat to Lynn Vision in the final round of the IEM Dallas qualifier’s decider map on Wednesday.
With this achievement, ATOX joins Astralis and Imperial as the teams that have secured their places through regional qualifiers in Asia, Europe, and South America. North America remains the final region to complete its qualifiers, with the 16-team lineup set to be finalized on Friday, February 14.
