A recent update to Counter-Strike 2 has introduced a new parameter designed to assist in the fight against cheaters. Maxim “Gabe Follower” Poletaev, a data miner, shared this information through his Telegram channel, though the developers have yet to officially announce it.

The new parameter, labeled “STEAMLEARN_DSKEYTYPE_CSCHEATID” or “Counter Strike Cheat ID,” has been added to the Steam Localization for partners.

In previous reports, Gabe Follower mentioned that the developers of Counter-Strike 2 are preparing for the full release of VacNet anti-cheat version 3.0. Poletaev revealed that Valve has been conducting tests for VacNet since August 2024. However, there is still no confirmed release date for VacNet 3.0 in CS2, as Valve has not yet provided any official statements on the matter.
