The lineup for PGL Cluj-Napoca has officially been unveiled, with sixteen teams securing invitations based on Valve’s Global Standings. Among those set to compete are The MongolZ, FaZe, Eternal Fire, and MOUZ, all of whom will battle for a share of the $1,250,000 prize pool.
The tournament will kick off with a group stage held at the PGL Studio in Bucharest, starting on February 14. Following that, the competition will shift to BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca, where the playoffs will take place from February 21 to 23.
The event will feature some of the strongest teams in the world, including two top-five ranked squads, The MongolZ and FaZe, alongside other top-10 contenders such as MOUZ, Eternal Fire, and Falcons.
Brazilian fans will have plenty to cheer for, as FURIA, paiN, and MIBR will all be representing South America at the tournament. Meanwhile, Complexity and Wildcard will be carrying the banner for North America.
The competition will also see Astralis, Virtus.pro, 3DMAX, BIG, SAW, and FlyQuest—Australia’s highest-ranked team—competing for the title.
Several of these squads have already begun their 2025 campaigns at BLAST Bounty Season 1, with Eternal Fire making waves by reaching the best-of-five grand final. However, they ultimately fell short against Danil “donk” Kryshkovets and Team Spirit in the championship match.
Fans looking to watch these teams in action before they make their way to Romania will have the opportunity at IEM Katowice, which begins January 29. Every PGL Cluj-Napoca invitee has already been seeded into either the play-in stage or the group stage at Katowice, setting the stage for an exciting lead-up to the event.
