Natus Vincere has been named the 2024 Team of the Year, surpassing rivals G2 and Spirit in a highly competitive race. The announcement comes after a stellar season in which NAVI appeared in eight grand finals, claiming four titles along the way and maintaining consistent form throughout the year.

Under the leadership of Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, NAVI’s trophy haul included ESL Pro League S20, IEM Rio, the Esports World Cup, and their standout victory at the PGL Major Copenhagen. The team began the year with a modest 7-8th place finish at IEM Katowice but quickly rebounded with a surprising triumph at Copenhagen, defeating FaZe in the grand final. Although their momentum slowed somewhat after this victory, the team came back rejuvenated after the summer break, delivering some of their best performances of the season.

NAVI’s fall campaign kicked off with a win at the Esports World Cup, followed by a runner-up finish at IEM Cologne. They then secured another trophy at ESL Pro League S20 before narrowly missing out on gold at the BLAST Fall Final. The team closed the year on a high note, capturing the title at IEM Rio with a commanding grand final victory over MOUZ. Their consistency was further reflected in their 18-week reign at the top of the global rankings, solidifying their claim to the Team of the Year award.

G2 finished as runners-up in the race for the award, bolstered by their three major titles at IEM Dallas, the BLAST Fall Final, and the BLAST World Final. Despite missing the playoffs on just two occasions all year, their efforts were not enough to surpass NAVI’s dominance.

Spirit rounded out the top three following an impressive 2024 that saw them claim victory at IEM Katowice, BLAST Premier Spring Final, BetBoom Dacha S2, and the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

NAVI’s recognition as the Team of the Year underscores their resilience and consistency at the highest level, cementing their legacy in competitive Counter-Strike for the 2024 season.
