The Mongolian player Gan-Erdene “dobu” Batbold will represent Alter Ego at the Asia RMR, after being signed on a temporary loan from ATOX, as announced by the Indonesian organization on Friday. The 25-year-old will take over for Andre “WasteOfAmmo” Yosua Poluakan during the upcoming competition in Shanghai.

This move reunites dobu with Hyun-Pyo “XigN” Lee, a former teammate from their time together on NKT in 2022. Their previous collaboration ended when dobu left NKT after the organization signed Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand, who is now also part of the Alter Ego lineup. Additionally, Munkhbold “Senzu” Azbayar, now with The MongolZ, joined NKT during that period.

Alter Ego qualified for the Asia RMR without dropping a map in the closed qualifiers, securing victories over Dewa United, Niory, and Gods Reign. Meanwhile, dobu’s current team, ATOX, fell short of qualifying, finishing second in the East Asia Closed Qualifier and recently benched Tuvshintugs “Annihilation” Nyamdorj as they search for a new player.

Along with dobu’s temporary addition, Alter Ego has also announced Rafael “FeldmaN” Barroso, a former Counter-Strike professional, as their new analyst. FeldmaN had been out of work since parting ways with Falcons earlier this year.

Alter Ego’s roster for the Asia RMR will now consist of:

  • Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand (Indonesia)
  • Hyun-Pyo “XigN” Lee (Korea)
  • WingHei “Freeman” Cheung (Hong Kong)
  • Jane “aidKiT” Apostoloski (North Macedonia)
  • Gan-Erdene “dobu” Batbold (Mongolia, on loan)

Their coach will be Andrew “bali” Joseph from Indonesia.
