HEROIC has officially revealed its updated roster, which includes the core trio of Sangal players: Linus “LNZ” Holtäng, Simon “yxngstxr” Boije, and Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç. Joining them are Álvaro “SunPayus” García and Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich, completing a fresh lineup for the upcoming competitive season.
Alongside this announcement, HEROIC also introduced Linus “nilo” Bergman and Pavle “Maden” Bošković as substitutes for the team’s BLAST Bounty campaign. While the core roster aligns with earlier reports from Sheep Esports, nilo did not secure a starting position despite being considered one of Europe’s rising stars.
HEROIC’s strategy moving forward remains uncertain, as the inclusion of two high-profile substitutes raises questions about long-term plans. Maden, a veteran talent, contributed to ENCE’s victory at IEM Dallas and their rise to 2nd in the world rankings in 2023. Meanwhile, nilo continues to garner attention as a top European prospect.
The acquisition of Sangal’s key players has granted HEROIC valuable tournament slots for the upcoming season, including invites to BLAST Bounty and ESL Pro League Season 21. Sangal, a leading tier-two team in 2024, achieved multiple victories in CCT events and two ECL seasons. However, they struggled to break into tier-one competition, facing early eliminations in EPL Season 20 and failing to qualify for either Major.
SunPayus reunites with former ENCE coach Eetu “sAw” Saha, a partnership that previously saw him named the 6th-best player of 2023. After a challenging year with Falcons, the Spaniard will aim to rediscover his peak performance under sAw’s guidance.
Completing the roster is Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich, a 23-year-old with experience across various Russian-speaking lineups. In late 2024, he played for GUN5, where he delivered a standout performance, averaging a 1.20 rating in tier-two and tier-three online competitions.
The updated HEROIC roster includes Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç from Turkey, Álvaro “SunPayus” García from Spain, Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich from Belarus, and Swedish players Linus “LNZ” Holtäng and Simon “yxngstxr” Boije. Eetu “sAw” Saha continues as the team’s coach, with Linus “nilo” Bergman and Pavle “Maden” Bošković serving as substitutes.
