Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss has joined Sashi, taking over Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen’s position on the active lineup. The 20-year-old arrives from TSM, marking a significant change for the Danish organization.
This signing follows a challenging period for Sashi, who had a brief moment of success in July 2024 when they broke into the top 30 rankings after their participation in the Esports World Cup. However, the remainder of the year saw limited activity, with their only other LAN appearance being at the Perfect World Shanghai Major EU RMR.
At the RMR, Sashi put up a valiant effort, securing wins against Astralis and Eternal Fire but falling short against Virtus.pro and Spirit. Their 2-3 record left them just shy of securing a Major spot. MistR stood out during the event, achieving a team-high rating of 1.04.
Zyphon, who also competed at the Shanghai RMR with TSM, was benched in December when TSM moved away from its Danish lineup. During his 11-month tenure with TSM, Zyphon maintained an impressive 1.12 rating and brings both firepower and valuable experience to Sashi. He previously reached the playoffs of the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 while playing for Copenhagen Flames.
“Zyphon is an exciting addition to our roster,” said Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen, Sashi’s coach and Head of CS. “At just 20 years old, he has already participated in three Majors and demonstrated remarkable potential. We are thrilled to have the chance to work with him and further develop his skills.”
