Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer has officially parted ways with Falcons, concluding a challenging year-long tenure with the Saudi-backed organization.
Reflecting on his departure, Snappi shared on X: “2024 was an incredibly difficult year for me, both personally and professionally. We didn’t meet acceptable standards, and the roster situation was both uncertain and chaotic. I deeply appreciate my teammates and Falcons for their efforts, but sometimes things just don’t work out.”
The 34-year-old in-game leader was benched alongside three other players after the team failed to qualify for the Shanghai Major. Falcons decided to rebuild their lineup ahead of the 2025 season. Reports suggest Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski is expected to fill Snappi’s role, with Falcons also pursuing the HEROIC core to secure their spot as the eighth-ranked team in the Valve Global Standings.
Snappi joined Falcons in December 2023 following a stellar season with ENCE, where he claimed victory at IEM Dallas and reached the final at IEM Cologne. However, his time with Falcons was fraught with difficulties from the outset. He cited “stylistic differences” with coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen, and despite achieving a top-four finish at IEM Katowice during their debut, the team struggled to maintain momentum.
The team’s inability to sign their primary target, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, further exacerbated the situation. Snappi faced significant challenges in making an ageing rifle lineup function effectively, and the roster had fallen out of the top 20 by the time he was benched.
Known for his ability to identify and nurture emerging talent, Snappi now looks to rebuild his career with Ninjas in Pyjamas. This move represents an opportunity for the veteran leader to reset and reclaim his reputation as one of the scene’s premier tacticians.
