NRG celebrates victory in their first LAN event featuring Jeorge.
The North American team claimed the Fragadelphia 18 championship without conceding a single map throughout the event. This marked their debut LAN appearance since adding Jeorge “Jeorge” Endicott to the roster, who emerged as their top-performing player during the tournament.
NRG’s journey to the title was commanding. Only two of the 10 maps they played saw their opponents reach double-digit rounds. After easily dispatching Stand On Business and Joshua “steel” Nissan’s Undone, the team faced its first major challenge against BOSS. NRG decisively outperformed BOSS, avenging their previous loss to them in October.
The upper final proved to be NRG’s toughest matchup, as the Sharks pushed them to the limit over two closely contested maps. Sharks’ standout player, Danilo “doc” Barros, gave an inspired performance. However, after defeating BOSS in the lower bracket, the Sharks fell short in the grand final rematch, allowing NRG to complete their perfect tournament run.
While Jeorge was NRG’s standout performer, the entire lineup delivered strong performances. Josh “oSee” Ohm achieved his best tournament rating since the summer, while Nick “nitr0” Cannella and Jadan “HexT” Postma led the team in the upper semi-final and grand final, respectively. NRG’s flawless run demonstrated their synergy and individual brilliance, securing a dominant first LAN victory with their revamped roster.
