The ESL FACEIT Group has announced that DreamHack Dallas and IEM Dallas will return to the Key Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in May 2025. The events are scheduled from May 23rd to 25th, continuing their tradition of bringing significant gaming and esports experiences to the city.
DreamHack Dallas 2024 was a record-breaking success, attracting over 55,000 attendees from all 50 U.S. states and 58 countries. The festival, one of the brand’s largest to date, featured esports tournaments, LAN parties, cosplay contests, and other gaming-related activities. Applications for content creators interested in participating in the 2025 festival are now open.
IEM Dallas will host 16 Counter-Strike teams competing over six days to determine a champion. The tournament starts with group stages on May 19th, with playoffs beginning on May 23rd. Although prize pool details remain undisclosed, IEM Dallas is a key event in the Intel Grand Slam series, where teams can compete for a $1 million (~£789,620) bonus by winning multiple ESL tournaments within the year.
DreamHack remains one of the ESL FACEIT Group’s most prominent event brands. Earlier in 2024, the festival expanded its partnership with Swedish telecom provider Tele2, continuing as the event’s broadband and official supplier partner.
North America remains a vital market for the ESL FACEIT Group. The company recently announced that Raleigh, North Carolina, will host an ESL One Dota 2 event in 2025, marking the first ESL One event in the U.S. in six years.
The DreamHack brand continues to grow globally, with DreamHack India becoming the nation’s largest gaming festival. In 2024, it hosted competitions for the Snapdragon Pro Series, Call of Duty Mobile, BGMI, and VALORANT, showcasing the festival’s increasing international reach.
