A dominant T-side showing by FL4MUS on Ancient propelled GamerLegion into the next phase of the Major.

FL4MUS and volt emerged as the top performers on the scoreboard for their team. GamerLegion’s youthful roster has clinched a spot in the Elimination Stage at the Perfect World Shanghai Major by overcoming an even younger Passion UA lineup 2-1. This result came from victories on Inferno (13-6) and Ancient (13-9), sandwiching a loss on Mirage (5-13).

Heading into the RMR, few would have expected GamerLegion to qualify for the Major. Their roster, packed with inexperienced players and featuring a recent lineup change made less than two months ago, started their campaign with an 0-2 record, making their eventual success seem improbable.

Nevertheless, GamerLegion managed to carry the momentum from their RMR performances into the Major’s opening stage, taking down higher-ranked teams FURIA and paiN in BO1 matches. However, The MongolZ quickly brought them back to reality. Drawing Passion UA in the 2-1 bracket was a stroke of luck to some extent, yet GamerLegion still faced a challenging opponent riding its wave of momentum.

The matchup proved unusual, with both teams faltering on their map selections. Passion UA looked disorganized on Inferno, with individual players failing to make an impact. In contrast, GamerLegion’s overly loose playstyle on Mirage and lack of individual sharpness led to their defeat on that map.

Ancient was more closely contested, though GamerLegion ultimately controlled the game. Their aggressive T-side start, driven by Timur “FL4MUS” Marev’s signature style of seizing map control and finding openings—often single-handedly—gave them a strong lead.

A successful pistol round in the second half allowed GamerLegion to cement their advantage. Although Passion UA fought back valiantly with tournament hopes on the line, their resistance came too late to change the outcome, leaving the Ukrainians to exit the Major.
