Flatron “juanflatroo” Halimi, a key player for Into the Breach, has decided to take a temporary break from competitive gaming to focus on his mental health. This announcement follows what has been described as an exhausting and challenging season, with the player expressing the need to recover both physically and mentally.
The organization emphasized the importance of prioritizing player well-being, highlighting burnout as a major issue in the esports industry. They expressed full support for Halimi’s decision and wished him a speedy recovery, acknowledging the necessity of addressing such challenges for long-term success and health in the sport.
Halimi joined Into the Breach in June as part of a new roster built around Owen “smooya” Butterfield. The team also brought in Dionis “sinnopsyy” Budeci, a former teammate from Bad News Eagles, along with Nicolas “Keoz” Dgus and Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas. However, the lineup underwent significant changes within a month, with BOROS departing and Hristiyan “REDSTAR” Pironkov stepping in as the fifth player. Despite these adjustments, the team has faced challenges in performance and remains outside the top 50 global rankings.
Reflecting on his break, Halimi mentioned that the decision comes after an exhausting period where he felt the need to step back and recharge. He expressed optimism about the future, emphasizing that this pause is an opportunity to regain his passion and energy for the game.
Currently, the Into the Breach roster comprises Owen “smooya” Butterfield (UK), Dionis “sinnopsyy” Budeci (Kosovo), Nicolas “Keoz” Dgus (Belgium), and Hristiyan “REDSTAR” Pironkov (Bulgaria), with Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre from Portugal serving as coach. Halimi’s absence adds to the team’s challenges, alongside the benching of Karol “rallen” Rodowicz from Poland. Despite the setbacks, the organization remains committed to supporting its players during this transitional phase.
